On the face of the meter, there is a small flashlight icon, if no numbers appear, shine a light on this icon to activate the display. Read the number display from left to right. This is your meter reading. Meters measure water in gallons. If looking for a leak, wait while the display cycle through screen, one of the screen will be a small number reading 0.0 if no flow is detected. If water is flowing, you will see and arrow on the top of the display, accompinied by a number, this number indicates the amount of gallons per minute the meter is detecting.
(For example, a leaking toilet could use as much as 6.00 Gallons Per Minute or as little as 30 gallons per day or 0.02 GPM)
